North island (Te Ika-a-Māui)

The North Island is home to 3 quarters of New Zealand’s population and the biggest city, Auckland. It is famous for its volcanic activity, Maori culture, beautiful beaches and national parks.

The South Island is the bigger of the two with a colder climate. It is famous for its glaciers, mountains, lakes and fjords. The Southern Alps run straight up the middle of the island like a spine.

The cook islands (Kūki 'Āirani)

The Cook Islands are a 3 hour flight from any major city in New Zealand lying 3200 kms to the north east. They encompass 15 Islands of which Rarotonga is the largest and home to the capital, Avarua.

North of Rarotonga, we have Aitutaki. An island consisting of a beautiful torquise lagoon and stunning coral reefs.
